Dr. Watson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and maintains a private practice in Jackson, Mississippi, providing service to individuals, families, students, and organizations. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for more than two decades. In that time he has been the counselor for thousands as well as taught psychology and counseling at the university level to undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, Dr. Watson was Director of Outpatient Services for Charter Behavioral Health of Jackson and he has served the Mississippi Mental Health Counselors as secretary and government relations chair. His strength is meeting clients at their point of need and being solution-focused no matter the issue that has brought them to counseling. He focuses on developing a safe environment that provides clients the opportunity to address specific issues and then develop effective skills for growth and change. His therapeutic approach is highly individualized to meet each client where they need the most support. As we all do, he too, has traveled some difficult roads and knows first-hand the importance of having the support of a caring and responsive professional.

On a personal level he has been married for 29 years, and he and his wife are the proud parents of three sons. Family life has provided countless opportunities to practice the techniques he uses in his counseling practice on a daily basis.
